The caricature PROCESS

Fill out the information below to submit your commission request! I use these questions to get a better idea of who I am drawing; so I can add the artistic touches that make each piece of artwork unique! I will try to incorporate everything you write down, so if you would rather not have something in the piece, leave that section blank. Feel free to explain and write as much as you’d like, it will only help!

Each caricature is unique, and requires a different amount of time and creative energy depending on what people request. For this reason, commissions are not always taken on a first come first serve basis, but instead are accepted based on complexity and what I can fit into my schedule. These detailed caricatures can take anywhere from 8-12+ hours depending on size, number of components, and complexity.

When I am ready to take your order, I will contact you through the email you provided! Once you have submitted a caricature request, please keep an eye out for an email from planeoldart@gmail.com, I will be following up on your request from that email address.
 
 Upon completion of the initial sketch, I will send it to you for approval - asking for any additions or changes that you might want! After you give me the thumbs up, I will send you payment information, ask you for a good mailing address, and start the outlining + coloring! You can expect one last email with a picture of your final masterpiece before I mail it.


Things to NOTE
Please note the cost of your order prior to submitting your request – Pricing can be found below:

Size 8.5x11 inch: The starting price of $180 includes 2 people and 1 plane, vehicle or object -- additional people or planes are $20 each, and any pet is an additional $15 each.

Prior to submitting your request, please reference the photo examples shown below to see what sort of reference photographs are required.

Each piece of artwork takes a different amount of creative energy and time, and different times of the year are busier than others - so unfortunately I have no "normal" timeline for when you can expect your piece. If you need your piece by a specific date, please submit this form and then send me an email directly at planeoldart@gmail.com There will be a rush fee directly dependent on how soon you need your commission.

I ship each piece insured through USPS with a provided tracking number (upon request). The 8.5x11 caricature shipping cost is $20.

CUSTOM PET PORTRAITS

the portrait PROCESS

Fill out the google form below to submit your Pet Portrait commission request! I try to replicate the image that you submit exactly, so a higher quality image equates to a better piece of artwork! If the image you'd like me to recreate isn't the best quality; please submit additional photos of your animal so that I have some reference (eyes, expression, coloring, etc.)


Each portrait is unique, and requires a different amount of time and creative energy depending on what people request. For this reason, commissions are not always taken on a first come first serve basis, but instead are accepted based on complexity and what I can fit into my schedule - each pet portrait usually takes me 5+ hours!


When I am ready to take your order, I will contact you through the email you provided! Once you have submitted a request, please keep an eye out for an email from planeoldart@gmail.com



Things to NOTE
The artwork is raster-based; this means that you can shrink the image as much as you'd like, but if you are trying to expand the image beyond its original dimensions  it will blur. The default digital canvas size is 16x20 unless you ask for something different!


Pricing for a single pet is $150, and each additional pet is $50.


You will receive a .JPEG image as a default. If you need a .PDF or .PNG image just let me know!

Lastly, people ask me all the time where to get their portraits printed, there are a number of awesome options out there including: google canvases, shutterfly, Walmart prints,  CVS, Walgreens, or any other place you print locally!
